Must-Hear Song of the Day: In Your Atmosphere (LA Song) by John Mayer

Poignant and raw and dripping with regret, this song breaks my heart into a million pieces every time I hear it.  So, on that note, enjoy! “I’d die if I saw you, I’d die if I didn’t see you…”

I promise I’ll pick a joyful song one of these days, but in the meantime I’ll be keeping Kleenex in the black.

About TheBenevolentSiren

Hi! I’m The Benevolent Siren. I’m a connoisseur of fine vegetarian cuisine, a TV fanatic, an organization enthusiast, and most importantly, I’m in the throes of a passionate love affair with music. There are some songs that play in your bones, veins and guts, not just your ears; those are the ones that keep me going. I guess you could say my heart beats to an 808 drum. A side effect of my musical preoccupation is that most of my posts will probably relate to music in some respect—you can expect album reviews, playlist creation advice, and concert stories, among other things. Of course, I’ll deviate from music every now and then, but I’ll come back to it time and again.

    Hi Thebenevolentsiren,
I take your point, I always have a workout playlist, but when I want to pump out extra reps on an exercise I always have to listen to ONE pump up song.

currently, my song for now is “10 Miles Wide” by Escape the Fate. I end up listening to this everytime I hop on the treadmill at the gym (about 4 times)

    what’s your pump up song?
how many times do you listen to it?
    All the Best

It depends on the day, but a longtime standard pump-up song is “Drop” by the Ying Yang Twins. It always gets me to my second wind!
