Can I get a replacement driver for a ULD 15?

Wow, you’ve had that product for a long time! Unfortunately, the ULD is no longer serviceable. Sorry about that.

Greetings! Is the DEQ series a more advanced sub than the DLS series? I am looking to match a sub(s) with Magnepan 1.7 magneplaner speakers and need to be sure that sub speed is as high as possible. Is there a series of Velodyne’s that is ‘faster’ and then better mated to magneplaner speakers? Please advise and share what you know bout matching subs to this speaker type.

    Thanks you

Hi there! Here’s what one of our engineers had to say about your question:

“The DEQ and EQ-Max are more advanced than the DLS, in that they add the auto-eq feature and a digital display for ease of setup. The driver and
amplifier have not been changed to increase any kind of ‘speed’ of the woofer.

For this application, though, I would recommend a different line of subs. Since DLS, DEQ and EQ-Max are ported, the additional moving component (the port air) produces a roll-off with a higher rate of phase rotation and thus may sound “slower”. To match with Magnepans, you would be better off with a subwoofer whose average phase rotation is closer to the low amount in those speakers and so should be looking at DD+, Optimum, or MiniVee series. Optimum or DD+ would be my recommendation due to their auto-eq capabilities.”

Hope this helps! Feel free to check out the Digital Drive PLUS or Optimum series for more details.
