Not only were the 2012 Grammys a grab-bag of entertaining and/or boring and/or cringe-inducing moments, they were also a learning experience for me. Choice nuggets of wisdom:
Justin Vernon of Bon Iver reluctantly accepts the Grammy for Best New Artist. Also, the BS Award for Most Delusional Hairstyle.
- Not everyone knows who Paul McCartney is. (HOW?)
- Someone on the planet has a more intense combover than Donald Trump. (It’s Justin Vernon of Bon Iver. Full disclosure, I kind of thought his name was Bon Iver until today.)
- Adele isn’t afraid to discuss her mucus situation in front of a really, really big audience.
- Deadmau5 is on board with the ISE 2012 super-trend of digital signage (as covered by AudiOdysseus).
- If you’re a good (and good-looking) performer, at least 25 people will condone your highly publicized forays into domestic violence on Twitter.
