  1. Great Sounding Headphones

    By David January 03, 2015

I really like these headphones just hoped they would be louder

  2. Better than Beats By Dre!

    By Moe December 07, 2014

I've now had these headphones for a year and they are still moving strong! The headphones still sound perfect as if they are still new, the battery still lasts me days, and I love the comfort of them.

The reason I gave it a 4 is because I truly wish that they felt less plastic and more premium metal or aluminum. Since you are paying a premium $300 price point I would expect these to feel much more solid and much less flimsy.

  3. Lightweight Excellent Crisp Sound

    By Gustavo May 28, 2014

I received a pair as a gift and I am very pleased with the quality and sound of these headphones. They are very lightweight and the make an excellent bluetooth pair up with my IPAD!

  4. Aural Magic!

By Audio Freedom February 11, 2014

When I first opened my vFree headphones I thought the build quality was cheap plastic. After using them for a few weeks I realized they've held up perfectly. Somehow Velodyne engineers have managed to design a great looking and sturdy device out of lightweight materials. Did I mention these headphones are light? I never notice the weight on m head.

With both wireless Bluetooth and a headphone jack I enjoy great sound on every audio device. The character of the sound is unique and wonderful. I like it better than both Seinheiser and Bose. The headphones are great for pop and hip hop because the bass punches hard but never fatigues my ears. The on ear design does a remarkable job of cutting out ambient noise and in a way that doesn't make you feel like you're under water like my Shure Noise Isolating Earbuds.

In addition to all the obvious uses for the headphones I think these will replace my gaming Logitech G930. The vFree have a built in microphone and are way lighter.

I can't say these are the best headphones ever but they are the best headphones I've ever used. Until I find the best headphones ever the vFree headphones are what I recommend.

  6. Premium sound with modern convenience.

    By vFreedom January 24, 2014

The physical headphone itself is stylishly presented with elegant appointments of simplicity. It's lightweight and compact with foldable joints for easy carrying and storage in the included custom pouch. Fit and finish is fine, but the build belies its high fidelity profile and does not lend to rugged use. So maintain appropriately and consider a budget earphones for carefree use.
The sound quality can be summed up as balanced with very clean and smooth mids. The highs are there and so are the lows. But I found the sheer premium sound most memorable. I recommend these headphones for use at home as some sound leakage were evident. And because the headphones are so lightweight I found extended listening without constraints. The fit for me was snug with maximum extension, but I don't consider myself to be big headed. Come to think of it who does. In summary, premium sound with modern technology convenience, and you get aptx.

  10. An essential item to my travel kit

    By Geo May 09, 2013

As a businessman, frequent flying is just another hazard of my occupation. To maintain one's sanity, careful selection of a proper travel kit is critical. For flying, I've selected on ear headphones because they're smaller and more manageable than over the ear versions. Since these headphones are closed-back they provide better noise isolation than ear-buds. Looking for freedom from cables, I found Velodyne's new offering- the vFree headphones. Velodyne offers fresh styling, impressive clarity and detail through a wide audio field. Using my iPad, these headphones can encapsulate me in a deep atmosphere of sound- both left and right, and front to back. Velodyne vFree response is refreshing. Today too many headphone designs are saturated with overdriven bass. The vFree delivers very tight, well-defined bass response as I cruse through my 35 years of music collection, oblivious to the cabin noise around me. I believe this addition to my travel kit is now just as precious as my music selection. Give them a test drive; you might just uncover a new element in a song you've head for decades!
