Placing an order with Velodyne

Direct 

You can place orders through www.Velodyne.com any time, day or night. All orders will be processed within 48 hours based on normal business days/hours. Customer Service Representatives are available to assist you from 7:30 AM to 4:30PM, Monday - Friday, Pacific Standard Time. Please contact them at 408-465-2851.

Sales Tax

Velodyne.com does not charge sales tax for orders shipped outside of California. 

On-line Payment Options 

Methods
Velodyne accepts American Express, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover credit cards, and debit cards with Visa or MasterCard registered in the United States. 

We do not accept c.o.d. orders.

Velodyne reserves the right, at our sole discretion, to cancel or refuse any order for any reason at any stage of the online ordering process, including after an order has been submitted and whether or not the order has been confirmed. Some situations that may result in cancellation include limitations on quantities available for purchase, inaccuracies or errors in product or pricing information, or problems identified by our Credit and Risk Assessment departments. We may also require additional verifications or information before accepting any order. We will attempt to contact you if all or any portion of your order is canceled, or if additional information is required to accept your order.

Proof of Purchase 

Velodyne will send you a confirmation of your order via email when you place an order online. If you place an order online, you will also be directed to a confirmation page. This page will serve as proof of purchase.

Sales to United States

The Velodyne Direct store currently sells and ships products within the 48 United States, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico only.

Shipping Options

Depending on the product Velodyne Direct ships all packages USPS/UPS, except for any 15 or 18 inch subwoofers which need to be shipped via truck. We offer FREE Ground Shipping for orders $50 or more to 48 contiguous United States. Orders shipping to Hawaii and Puerto Rico are transported by air. Depending on when you place your order, it can take anywhere from 7-10 days for you to receive your order if it is shipping to the 48 contiguous United States. If your order is shipping to AK, HI, or Puerto Rico, shipping times may vary and are likely to exceed 7 days.

Please confirm before you checkout that your shipping address is correct. Contact customer service to see if an address can be changed.  There may be extra charge for this service which will be assessed at the time of the request.   PLEASE, avoid this extra charge by verifying you have the correct address before checkout!

Please check your tracking information to ensure that someone is available to receive the product upon delivery. Note that many products are quite heavy and may require multiple people to lift.

Damaged Items – Due to shipping
If an order arrives to you with obvious shipping damage, please refuse the delivery. If you have accepted delivery and then find shipping damage, please call the fulfiller immediately using the contact information included with the order. 

Please save all packaging material and paperwork for the order if shipping damage is a possible issue. If you dispose of packaging material or attempt to return the merchandise without contacting the fulfiller, you jeopardize our chances of making a claim, and you may not receive credit for the return.  

Return Policy

Purchases from Velodyne.com: 45-day full refund* We have hassle free returns on Velodyne headphones meaning if you're not satisfied with your headphone within 45-day we will give you a full refund and free return shipping back to us. For our subwoofers, to be eligible for a full refund, the customer will be responsible for shipping the subwoofer back to us. All returns require a return authorization; please call 408-465-2851 or contact service@velodyne.com. Upon receipt, our technicians will review all returns. All returns must:

  • Have a valid return authorization
  • Have been returned in the original box and packaging
  • Be complete with all supplied accessories
  • Be in “like new” condition.

Failure to comply with any of these conditions may result in either the item being refused or be assessed a 20% restocking fee.

Note: If you received a promotional item in addition to your purchase, you must return the promotional item to receive the full refund. If you do not, you will receive the full refund less the value of the promotional item.

If we receive product back without an RMA (Return Authorization Number) no credit will be issued.

Refunds, Credits, and Balances Due*

As soon as the Velodyne receives and processes your return, we will notify you via email. We will issue the credit utilizing the same method as the original purchase was made. The credit will be issued within 10 business days of the time that you receive this email. The return credit should be reflected on your statement within one or two billing periods, depending on your financial institution's billing cycle.

Return Policy for Promotional Items and Specials (Effective September 1st, 2014)

All promotional items and specials have a strict 14 day return/exchange policy from the day you receive the product. For returns, an additional 20% restocking fee will be applied. 

All returns require a return authorization; please call 408-465-2851 or contact service@velodyne.com. Upon receipt, our technicians will review all returns. All returns must:

  • Have a valid return authorization
  • Have been returned in the original box and packaging
  • Be complete with all supplied accessories
  • Be in “like new” condition.

General Warranty Information 

Defective Velodyne Branded Products
If you believe you have a defective product, call Velodyne Customer Service at 1-408-465-2851 (7:30AM to 4:30PM PST M-F). They will take you through the steps to fix it, or if it can't be fixed, will arrange to repair or replace your product according to the terms of your product warranty. See the warranty information below or refer to your product's owner's manual for warranty details.

Product warranty is VOIDED when products leave the United States due to international voltage disparities.  Product modification/service by non-authorized Velodyne service centers or Velodyne may void the product warranty.

Shipping Instructions: Defective Products must be shipped in the original shipping container or its equivalent, together with proof of purchase, prepaid insured to the address supplied by Velodyne’s Customer Service. Contact us for instructions from other locations. Products must be shipped in the original shipping container or its equivalent; in any case the risk of loss or damage in transit is to be borne by you. If upon examination at the Factory it is determined that the unit was defective in materials or workmanship at any time during this Warranty period, Velodyne will, at its option, repair or replace this Product at no additional charge, except as set forth below.

This warranty does not include service or parts to repair damage caused by accident, disaster, misuse, abuse, negligence, inadequate packing or shipping procedures, commercial use, voltage inputs in excess of the rated maximum of the unit, cosmetic appearance of cabinetry not directly attributable to defect in materials or workmanship, or service, repair, or modification of the Product which has not been authorized or approved by Velodyne. This warranty shall terminate if the Serial number on the Product has been removed, tampered with or defaced.

This warranty is in lieu of all other expressed Warranties. If this Product is defective in materials or workmanship as warranted above, your sole remedy shall be repair or replacement as provided above. In no event will Velodyne be liable to you for any incidental or consequential damages arising out of the use or inability to use the Product, even if Velodyne has been advised of the possibility of such damages, or for any claim by any other party. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of consequential damages, so the above limitation and exclusion may not apply to you. All implied warranties on this Product are limited to the duration of this expressed Warranty. Some states do not allow limitation on how long an implied Warranty lasts, so the above limitations may not apply to you. This Warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you also may have other rights which vary from state to state.

The Warranty terms and conditions applicable to Products purchased in other countries are available from the Velodyne Custom Installers/Distributors in such countries.

1-Year Limited Warranty on Headphones (Replacement Only)
The warranty is VOID if the serial number of the item has been removed, tampered with or defaced. For the precise and legal terms of the warranty on a given product, refer to the owner's manual. An Acrobat Reader file of the owner's manual can be found on each product's web page. Art Robotz Products

Art Robotz portable batter has a 1 year limited warranty. (Replacement Only)

Art Robotz cable, car charger, desktop stand and connector comes with a 45 day limited warranty. (Replacement Only)

Comments and Review Policy

User-submitted product reviews undergo moderation before they are posted. Reviews that are irrelevant will not be approved. Off-topic comments, profanity, specific pricing information and references to specific competitors will be edited out by moderators, but other review content will never be altered or added.

Errors on Our Site

Prices and availability of products are subject to change without notice. Errors will be corrected where and when discovered. Velodyne reserves the right to revoke any stated offer, cancel orders, and to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions in any stated offer or price, including after an order has been submitted and whether or not the order has been confirmed and your payment processed. 

If your payment has already been processed for the purchase when your order is cancelled, Velodyne will issue a credit to the payment method used in the amount of the charge. Individual bank policies will dictate when this amount is credited to your account. 

If you cannot use our convenient online shopping catalog, you may be using an outdated browser. To view content and place orders on our Web site, we recommend that you use the most recent version of Microsoft Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator, Opera, Firefox, Google Chrome or Safari.

Never send credit card numbers via email, as it is not a secure practice.

At this time Velodyne.com is only shipping to the 50 Unites States, District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico.  We apologize for any inconvenience. Please use our International Distributor Search to locate a distributor in your country.

We accept no responsibility for user-initiated damage and/or loss of parts incurred during operation or use of product.

Price and/or Description Changes

 All prices, pictures, and descriptions on this website are subject to change. We maintain no responsibility for inadvertent errors. Please contact us within 30 days regarding price or promotion discrepancies. 

When you place your order with us, you agree to the price and terms indicated on this website. Price differences related to future or past prices in our store or any other store are not refundable.

             The minimum vPoints that can be applied to your purchase is 200 vPoints. 

Velodyne e-Gift Card

By accepting and retaining the e-gift card, you agree to these terms and conditions, as well as future terms and conditions and program/service changes. We reserve the right to change the format, elements, and terms and conditions of the e-gift card program at any time without notice.

Use of Card

The Velodyne e-gift card is not a credit card and has no cash value. The Velodyne e-gift card cannot be applied to past purchases. No returns or refunds are accepted on gift cards (including expired gift cards). The e-gift card is limited to the amount of funds associated with the gift card. You cannot increase the funds on the gift card. The e-gift card may only be used by customers in the United States and District of Columbia to make a purchase of subwoofers, headphones, and accessories from velodyne.com. The e-gift card is only valid on velodyne.com.

Delivery and restrictions

The Velodyne e-gift card ships separately from purchase and should arrive in 14-21 days from the time the order is placed via email and carries a 60-day expiration (except where prohibited by law). The gift card will be emailed to the email address the order is placed with.

Card Expiration

Every e-gift card has an expiration date. The e-gift card expiration date can be found next to the e-gift card code. After that date, the funds will expire and remaining funds on the gift card are forfeited.

Returns

The e-gift card is not valid if eligible product is returned for a refund. If eligible product is returned for a refund after the card has been redeemed, the value of the redeemed card will be deducted from the refund amount.

If you happen to return a product that was purchased with the e-gift card. Credits for returns accepted by Velodyne will be allocated back to the e-gift card (in the amount of the portion of the purchase paid with your e-gift card) as long as the gift card is NOT expired. If you receive credit, the portion paid with the e-gift card will be allocated back to the e-gift card within 72 hours after Velodyne receives and processes your returned merchandise. If the card happens to be expired, no credit or cash refund will be issued and the remaining funds on the card are forfeited.

Using Multiple Cards

Velodyne will only accept ONE e-gift card per purchase. Funds from the e-gift card cannot be merged with funds from another e-gift card.

Misuse of e-Gift Card

If we suspect misuse of the e-gift card, it may be suspended or terminated. We may cancel the e-gift card at any time without notice.
