Great budget sub
Ive owned this sub for 2 years and havent feltthe need to upgrade. I live in a townhouse so buying mega-sub is unrealistic. This sub provides just the right amount of low-end support to my Wharfedales. For the first week it did sound boomy and flabby, but it quickly broke-in and has sounded fast and tight ever since. I'm guessing the suspension bits (spider and surround) need a hot minute to lossen up.
Plenty of power
This sub has a very clean sound and enough power to rattle the furniture in the room above my home theater. It sounds better than subs from other manufacturers at twice the cost.
I bought it from Velodyne site as an upgrade for my Sony sub. Couldn't wait to receive it and it only took 3 days for my sub to arrive. Connected it to my Yamaha RX-V671 and I'm absolutely loving this sub. Lows sound very balanced and there is no muddy boom. The music just sounds great and I can't tell that the base is coming out of the sub-- VX11 blends so well with my satellite speakers. Thank you Velodyne for fast delivery, and great and affordable product.
I've had this subwoofer for about a year now, and I have to say that I am still impressed with it. It sits on a homemade sub riser that raises it around 5". This really helped out to smooth the bass response, and when watching Finding Nemo on Blu Ray the scene where the niece taps on the fishtank in the dentist's office. Wow, I had no idea just how much bass that one scene had. It blends in smoothly with my Ascend Acoustics CBM-170's for L/R and CMT-340 Center Channel. Highly recommended for those on a budget.
Good quality sub
Being an audiophile, I wanted a budget subwoofer. for my wife !! Tight punch, clean bass ! Highly recommend it.
